How can we help?

Your starting point with fire extinguishers should be your Fire Risk Assessment, which will identify any risks within your premises that need addressing. By law, this assessment must be carried out regularly by a competent person.
As fully-accredited members of the Fire Protection Association, TSG’s qualified fire risk assessors have the experience and credentials to take care of this for you. The results of your assessment will include recommendations for the placement of different types of fire extinguishers, including:

  • Water fire extinguishers for wood, paper and textiles
  • Dry powder fire extinguishers for wood, paper, textiles, flammable liquid, gaseous fires and live electrical equipment
  • Foam fire extinguishers for wood, paper, textiles and flammable liquid
  • Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers for flammable liquid and live electrical equipment
  • Wet chemical fire extinguishers for wood, paper, textiles and cooking oil fires

Keep your fire extinguishers in perfect working order

Keeping fire extinguishers maintained is absolutely critical for fire safety, and for legal compliance. A certified, BAFE-qualified fire extinguisher engineer must service all of your extinguishers at least once a year, to ensure they are in good working condition, within their expiry dates, at the correct weight and pressure, and still carrying clear instructions and labels.

TSG’s qualified engineers can conduct these assessments for you, identify any replacement fire extinguishers needed, and issue a report that can demonstrate your compliance.
